Professor Luci Fuscaldi Teixeira-Salmela has received her PhD in Rehabilitation Sciences at Queen´s University, Canada in 1998. Currently, she is working as professor ob both graduate and undergraduate levels in Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG), Belo Horizonte, Brazil. She has successfully completed her administrative responsibilities as head of the Department of Physical therapy and director of graduate program in Rehabilitation Sciences.Her research has included assessment and interventions with stroke survivors. She is internationally recognized as a research leader in the area of stroke rehabilitation. She is serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals, like Journal of Physiotherapy, Disability and Rehabilitation, Journal of Neurological Physical Therapy, and Brazilian Journal of Physical Therapy & expert Reviewers for journals, like Clinical Biomechanics, Stroke, Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Journal of Rehabilitation Medicine, etc. She has authored several research articles.
