Mgutu Allan Jalemba

Biography

Mgutu Allan Jalemba presently working at Department of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, Kenyatta University, Nairobi, Kenya.His main research interests revolve around crop improvement through harnessing molecular factor interaction (protein-protein/DNA interaction) and genetic engineering of tropical crops for better yields under various biotic and abiotic stresses. His focus is mainstreaming applied molecular cell biology of plants in response to various environmental, climatic and disease conditions towards developing specific crop adaptations or traits of agronomical value in sub-Saharan Africa.

Research Interest

His research interests revolve around crop improvement through genetic engineering of tropical crops for better yields under various stresses;
