Biography


 

Ottavio Iommelli is responsible since 1992 the surgery of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine Hospital San Paolo in Naples. He is also a Counsellor of the Italian Federation of Acupuncture Societies (FISA). In 1983 he graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the 2nd Faculty of Naples with the thesis: "The menstrual disorders in a perspective psychosomatic." He graduated in 1983 in Acupuncture and TCM in the School four Napoletana "Hua Tuo" directed by Prof. M. Maciocia. In 1991 he graduated Doctor Acupuncturist, at the School "San Li" in Rome. In 1999 he carries lessons Acupuncture at the School of Orthopaedics and Traumatology, University of Naples, 1 Hospital of Naples. From 1999 to 2003 President AIFF (Ass. Italian Phytotherapy and Phytopharmacology). From 2002 he worked as a Professor at the University "G. D'Annunzio" University, Faculty of Medicine, Department of Biomedical Sciences, Chair of Therapy Medical for the four-year course of Integrated Medicine. In 2003 he carries lessons Acupuncture at the School of Anesthesia and Intensive Care, University of Naples, 1 Hospital of Naples. In 2004 he is professor at the Department of History of Medicine of the University of East Naples for the graduate course "The Other Medicine: The MTC"
