Biography

Dr. Boscarino is an epidemiologist and social psychologist with a broad biomedical research portfolio who is conducting research related to liver disease, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), addictions, and behavioral genetics. Recently, his team was the first to report the cholinergic receptor, nicotinic, alpha 5 (CHRNA5), which encodes components of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor, is associated with not only nicotine addiction but also with PTSD.
