Biography
Maria Gilson deValpine, RN MSN Phd, teaches public health, health policy, and epidemiology at James Madison University Department of Nursing. She is a public health nurse by trade, training, and passion. Her research interests include health disparities, public policy, field epidemiology, and public health education. Dr. deValpine's work in health disparities has most most recently been informed by her practice in "bush" Alaska.Research Interest
