Maud-Christine Chouinard completed a Bachelor of nursing sciences at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi in 1992, a master’s in nursing sciences at Université Laval in 1995 as well as a PhD in nursing sciences at the Université de Montréal in 2004. She is currently Associate Professor for the Nursing and Health Sciences Module at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi. Holder of a Health and Society Research Scholar Junior 1 Award from the Fonds de la recherche en santé du Québec (FRSQ) for 2007-2010, Professor Chouinard’s interests lie in the follow-up and organization of care for people afflicted with complex chronic diseases. Her current projects involve the study of patients’ and their relatives’ experiences as well as the evaluation of programs for the systematic follow-up of these clienteles and other interventions. As an Associate Professor, she is a recipient of many awards and grants for her valuable contributions and discoveries in major area of researches like Predictive Factors of Effects of an Interdisciplinary Chronic Disease Prevention and Management Intervention in Primary Healthcare: A Correlational Analysis. She is the Editor-in-Chief/Editorial Board Member of many peer reviewed journals and her area of expertise, as an Associate Professor, credits her with many publications in national and international journals. She is committed to highest standards of excellence and it proves through her authorship of many books.
