Biography

Carla Silva graduated in Textile Engineering at the University of Minho in 2000 and was distinguished among my peers for obtaining the best classification with 3 honour prizes: Vicent Hynes, University of Minho, and Rotary Club Guimarães. Her research career started in 2001 when she begin her master degree in the department of Textile Engineering at the same University, under the supervision of Prof. Artur Cavaco-Paulo. In 2004 she was awarded a PhD scholarship from FCT which allow me to pursuit her studies on the enzymatic modification of synthetic fibres, in the same research group.
