Biography
Dr. Jayanthi Sasisekaran is an Associate Professor in the Department of Speech, Language, Hearing Sciences, University of Minnesota. Her research interests are in the areas of stuttering and other fluency disorders, psycholinguistics, and language – speech motor interface. Her work is funded by the National Institute of Deafness and other Communication Disorders (NIDCD) as well as internal grants from the University of Minnesota. Dr. Sasisekaran has published in several prominent journals, including Developmental Science, the Journal of Fluency Disorders, Applied Psycholinguistics and the International Journal of Language and Communication Disorders. Currently, she also serves as an Associate Editor for the Speech Section of the Journal of Communication Disorders.
Research Interest
stuttering, psycholinguistic processes, dual task performance, language - speech motor interface.
