Biography

Jin Liu is a post-doctoral researcher in the Department of Geological and Environmental Sciences, Stanford University. He completed his Ph.D. in Geological Sciences from Jackson School of Geosciences, the University of Texas at Austin, and his master and undergraduate studies at Peking University and China University of Geosciences, respectively. His research interests lie in the area of geochemical and geological processes in the Earth's interior, ranging from the global water cycle, water-rock interaction, isotope fractionation in the Earth System, to high pressure behaviors of hydrous and carbon-bearing phases under extreme conditions. He has collaborated actively with researchers in several other disciplines of Earth & Material Sciences. He has published mora than a dozen peer-reviewed journal papers, and has served as a reviewer for Scientific Reports, Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment, American Mineralogist, Physics and Chemistry of Minerals, etc. He is am member of American Geophysical Union, and of Consortium for Materials Properties Research in Earth Sciences (COMPRES).
