He has received his Ph.d in Nutritional Epidemiology from International Health University of Michigan, School of Public Health Ann Arbor, MI. USA and B.A. in Nutrition/Biochemistry in Evergreen College, Olympia, Washington USA. He is an Executive Director of extensive network of key partners engaged in the elimination of iodine deficiency and achievement of optimal iodine nutrition. Currently he is a Clinical Associate Professor in Department of Global Health at University of Washington, Seattle WA USA.

Research Interest

His research interest includes Micronutrients (with a focus on iodine, iron, vitamin A and zinc), Operational research, Program Design, Monitoring and Evaluation, Food Fortification, Public-Private Partnerships, etc.
