Farag Ibraheem is assistant professor of plant physiology. He graduated in the Pennsylvania State university and did his postdoctoral research at the university of Illinois at Urbana- Champaign. He has authored and coauthored publications in plant physiology, plant pathogen interaction, dissection of economic traits and crop improvement. The current research interest include molecular dissection of economic traits such : (1) Nitrogen use efficiency in maize, (2) Disease resistance in sorghum and maize, (3) drought tolerance in wheat, and (4) Salt tolerance in halophytes. He also has experience in plant tissue culture.
