Biography

Dr Yinghua Tang is an associate professor (tenure) in National Research Center of Engineering and Technology for Veterinary Biologicals at Jiangsu Academy of Agricultural Sciences. He obtained his Ph.D in veterinary medicine at Yangzhou University, Yangzhou, P. R. China. Tang is focused on research to investigate of animal infectious disease pathogenicity and epidemiology, to design and develop effective subunit vaccines against viral diseases such as influenza virus, infectious bursal disease virus, and infectious bronchitis virus, to better understand vaccine-induced protective immune mechanisms, to develop adjuvants and immunopotentiators for improving the efficacy of licensed vaccine and subunit vaccine.

Research Interest

1. One of my research interests is investigation of animal infectious disease pathogenicity and epidemiology, including avian influenza virus, infectious bursal disease, infectious bronchitis virus, et al.
2. Development of subunit vaccines to substitute of whole virion based vaccine are benefit for both manufacturer of vaccine quality control and raising householder of biosecurity. These subunit vaccines include HA from influenza virus, VP2 from infectious bursal disease virus, et al.
3. The adjuvants and/or immunopotentiators are effective way to improve the efficacy of commercial vaccine and subunit vaccine.
