Dr. Debashis Chatterjee received his Ph.D.degree in University of Kalyani, West Bengal, India. He currently works as an Professor at University of Kalyani,india. His current research interests include the Sustainability, Environment, Environmental Analytical Chemistry, Water Quality, Irrigation.

Research Interest

Geochemistry and hydrogeology; artificial leaching testing, identification of safe aquifer, safe drinking water supply. Wastewater reuse programme for crop production. Redox chemistry; surface chemistry. Hydrogeology; geochemistry; modeling. Geochemistry; analytical techniques; sediment geochemistry. Geochemistry and mineralogy; modeling. Water quality and treatement ,use of membrane technology. Laborotorical experiment on contaminated soft sediment,Synchroton analysis,Geo-chemical modeling and isotopic analysis. Public Health issues on Arsenic exposure,bio-marker analysis, risk analysis. Field scale experiment on arsenic mobilization/immobilization,geo-chemical modeling,release mechanism.
