Febronia Kokulengya Kahabuka

Biography

 Professor Febby Kahabuka is a Tanzanian, born in a small village west of Lake Victoria. She graduated as a dentist at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Dar es Salaam. Immediately after graduation she pursued postgraduate sandwich training between the University of Dar es Salaam and Groningen & Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Later she did her PhD in dental traumatology at the Catholic University of Nijmegen. Prof. Febby lectured in Nutrition and Oral health and Paediatric Dentistry at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Dar es Salaam.At present she lectures in Paediatric Dentistry at Muhimbili University of Health and Allied Sciences (MUHAS). She has been the Editor-in-Chief of Tanzania Dental Journal since 2003. She has published scientific articles in various fields of Paediatric Dentistry as well as HIV/AIDS, and has contributed two chapters in books. She has edited a book titled “Oral Health Care for Socially Disadvantaged Communities”. In September 2009 she was appointed Associate Dean, School of Dentistry, MUHAS.
