Biography

 He graduated in Dentistry from the University of Campos (1980), master's degree in Periodontics from the University of Taubaté (1995) and PhD in Biology Oral and Dental Pathology from the University of Campinas (2000) and post doctorate at the Forsyth Institute, Boston, USA. Assistant Professor, University of Taubaté, coordinator of the undergraduate courses, specialization, master's and doctorate in periodontology, coordinator of research projects linked to FAPESP Pro-Dean of Research and Graduate of the University of Taubaté in managing 2006/2010 and current coordinator of the research group and institutional projects UNITAU and member of the Research Ethics Committee-CEP_UNITAU. It's adviser ad hoc CAPES, CNPq, FAPESP and FACEPE and ad hoc referee SciELO - Scientific Electronic Library Online. Reviewer of national and international journals such as BMC ORAL HEALTH, Journal of Clinical Periodontology, Journal of Periodontology, the International Journal of Dentistry, Journal of Basic Microbiology, Letters in Applied Microbiology, Postgraduate Medical Journal, International Journal of DentistryBrazilian of Oral Research, among others. Appointed Research Affiliate of Forsyth Institute. He has experience in dentistry, with emphasis in Microbiology, Molecular Biology and Epidemiology mainly working on the following topics:. Diagnosis of periodontal disease, periodontal therapy, Clinical Trials, lateral and longitudinal studies in periodontics
