 Dr. May CM Wong is an Associate Professor in Dental Public Health in the Faculty of Dentistry, the University of Hong Kong (HKU). She obtained her PhD at HKU in 2005. Currently, she is the Secretary of the IADR Southeast Asian Division Council; the Vice President of the Evidence-based Dentistry Network Scientific Group, IADR; an Editor of the Cochrane Oral Health Group, Cochrane Collaboration; an Associate Editor of the journal Community Dentistry and Oral Epidemiology; an Editorial Board Member of the journal Clinical Oral Implants Research; and the Group Convenor of the Public Health and Healthy Ageing Research Group in the Faculty of Dentistry, HKU. Her research interests focus mainly on Biostatistics; Clinical trials; Epidemiological studies; and Quality of life research. She has been the Principal Investigator (PI) of three projects and Co-investigator (Co-I) of seven projects funded by the Research Grant Council, Hong Kong. She is also the PI/Co-I for 15 projects funded by HKU. She has published three book chapters and about 80 publications in the SCI journals such as Journal of Dental Research and Cochrane Library.Dr. Wong has received the Faculty Outstanding Teacher Award and Faculty Research Output Prize at HKU in 2011 and 2006 respectively, and the best poster and article awards in a number of international conferences and journals.  She has been invited to speak at various dental public health conferences and training sessions in Hong Kong, China and UK.
