Biography

Dr. Harinder Rai Singh currently holds the position of a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Biology, Faculty of Applied Sciences. His research interests are in Marine, Coastal and Freshwater Ecology related to fisheries and invertebrates as well as habitat connectivity. He is also actively involved in research related to the Marine & Coastal Zone, Riverine Biodiversity Management and Faunal Recruitment in Replanted Mangroves. He is also a Subject Matter Specialist/Consultant for Preliminary and Detailed Environmental Impact Assessment Studies related to marine, coastal and freshwater habitats and works closely with the industry and government agencies. Dr. Harinder has been awarded the Fundamental Research Grant Scheme (FRGS), Dana Kecemerlangan from UiTM and research grants from Forest Research Institute Malaysia (FRIM)
