Dr. Fengxiang Han has received his Ph.D. in Biogeochemistry from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel. Currently, he is working as Associate Professor of Environmental Chemsitry in Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Jackson State University. His research has included environmental chemistry, biogeochemistry and radiochemistry of heavy metals, trace elements and radionuclides, pollution and remediation, carbon sequestration and global warming. He has been serving as an editorial member of several reputed journals like Water, Air and Soil Pollution (Sprigner), Soil and Sediment Contamination (Taylor and Francis) and expert Reviewers for journals like Environmental Science and Technology, Naturwissenschaften, Journal of Environmental Quality, Soil Science Society of America Journal, Environmental Pollution, Plant and Soil, Environmental and Experimental Botany, Chemosphere, Pedosphere, Journal of Hazardous Materials, and Geoderma etc. He has authored more than 70 refereed research articles. He published a book entitled “ Biogeochemsitry of Trace Elements in Global Arid Environment" by Springer in 2007. He is a member of American Chemical Society, Soil Science Society of America, and International Society of Trace Element Biogeochemistry etc.
