Biography

Dr. Jennifer DeBruyn received her PhD in Ecology & Evoluationary Biology at the University of Tennessee in 2008, where her dissertation research focused on microbial ecology of organic pollutant biodegradation.   She is currently an assistant professor in the Department of Biosystems Engineering & Soil Science at the University of Tennessee.  Her current projects revolve around microbial degradation of organics, including carcass decomposition, and microbial functioning in soils.  She serves as an associate editor of the journal Ecotoxicology.  Her publications can be found here: http://scholar.google.com/citations?user=U_xOnjEAAAAJ
