Biography

Dr B Anjum (PhD) is recently working as young scientist at King Ge orge’s Medical University,UP, India. He had more than 7 Years research experience in the field of Cardiovascular diseases, Vascular variability diseases (VVDs), Ambulatory bl ood pressure monitoring, Type 2 diabetes and Metabolic disorders particularly in Night shift nursing professionals.

  He had done research work as Senior Research Fellow (from july 2012 to July 2015) on research project awarded from Indian Council of Medical Research, India. Before this, worked as Senior Research Assistant on the research project funded by Council of Science & Technology UP, India at King Georges M edical University, India. (July 2007- June 2012).

  He had done PhD (2013) in the field of Chronocardiology and Chronophysiolo gy from the Department of Biochemistry, King’s George Medical U niversity (KGMU), India.

Achieved Awards/Fellowship:

Young Investigator Fellowship Award (USD 1000) to participate and presented poster of abstract in 10 th Asian Pacific Congress of Hypertension, February 12 -15,2014, Radisson Blu Hotel, Cebu city, Philippines.

Achieved DST-SERB Travel Grant Award to participate in Joint meeting European Society of Hypertension-International Society of Hy pertension (ESH-ISH 2014), 13-16 june 2014; Athens Greece.

Best Poster Presentation Award in 5 th World congress of diabetes India-Diabetes India 2013, Kochi, India.

Travel Grant Award (USD 1500) to participate and presented poster in The 1 st International Congress on Lipid Metabolism & Atherosclerosis, 14-15 September 2012, Seoul, South Korea.

Best Paper Presentation Award in International Conference Innovation in Public Health Management and Intervent ion of Civil Society Organization. Department of Community Medicine and Public Health, 17 th March, 2012 . C S M Medical University, Lucknow.

Young Scientist Award for Best Paper Presentation in “16 th world congress on clinical nutrition and 6 th International congress on cardiovascular diseases” Sept 12-14, 2011 , New Delhi.

I have presented more than 30 research papers & att ended more than 50 National and International conferences in the last 5 years i ncluding a visit to Seoul, Korea in 2012, Cebu city, Philippines at Feb 2014 and Athens, Greece at June 2014.

I have published more than 25 research papers in an Indexed & peer review International journals. I am also a life member of various national and international bodies like,

Research Interest

I expertise in recording of 24 hours Ambulatory Blo od Pressure and heart rate by ABPM in cardiac patients, night shift nursing profe ssions as well as healthy subjects. I well familiar about various hormones and cytokine s by Enzyme Linked Immunosorbant Assay (ELISA). I have an experience of advance know n technique like Gel Electrophoresis, PCR, Western Blot and Real Time PC R. Also completed a certificate course in Diabetes Education (June 2102-March 2013) Conducted by Indian Association of Diabetes Educators (IADE) & Dr. Moha n Diabetes Education Academy (DMDEA).
