Biography

Dr. Owens joined the faculty at the Hampton University Department of Physical Therapy August 2009. As part of his scholarly duties, he coordinates and teaches the Musculoskeletal Management, Research, and Differential Diagnosis curriculum. Dr. Owens’ research interests include measurement of intervertebral disc hydration using stadiometry, differential diagnosis and outcomes in orthopedic manual physical therapy, DPT education and the role of clinical training, and factors influencing patient compliance. Dr. Owens has been a presenter of orthopedic manual therapy continuing education throughout the United States, and has been in clinical practice for sixteen years.
