Dr. Kanishka Sircar is an Assistant Professor in Pathology at UT MD Anderson Cancer Center. He obtained his M.D. from McGill University, completed residency training in Anatomical Pathology at McMaster University and subspecialty fellowships in Oncologic and Genitourinary pathology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. He is board certified in Anatomic Pathology in both Canada and the USA. He previously served as Assistant Professor of Pathology at McGill University with a cross appointment in Urology. Dr. Sircar is an experienced diagnostician and educator in Genitourinary pathology who has lectured nationally and served as an examiner for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.
His current research interests are in examining lethal castration resistant prostate cancer, metastatic and sarcomatoid renal carcinoma using functional genomics approaches.
