Biography

Dr. Honglin Luo is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine/James Hogg Research Center at the University of British Columbia, Canada. Dr. Luo completed her MSc and MD training in China. She then pursued her postdoctoral training at the University of Washington from 1997 to 2000. Dr. Luo received a New Investigator Award from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and a Scholar Award from the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research. Dr. Luo is at the leading-edge in her field of enteroviral infection. The objective of She has published over 60 refereed papers and 6 book chapters.

Research Interest

Dr. Luo’s research is to define the pathogenetic mechanisms of enterovirus-induced heart disease and the signaling pathways leading to vascular damages.
