Dr. Raveendran. A.V did his graduation from Govt. medical college, Kozhikode, Kerala and post-graduation from K.I.M.S, Hubli, Karnataka. He also did PG Diploma in Health Science in Diabetology (PGDHSc Diabetology) from Annamalai University, Tamil Nadu, PG certificate course in Rheumatology from IMA AKN Sinha Institute, New Delhi, Post Graduate Diploma In Health Science Research (PGDHSR) from Kerala University, Fellowship Certificate in Sexual Medicine from IMA College of General Practitioners, Tamil Nadu. He worked as Asst. Professor of medicine in Govt. Medical College, Kozhikode, Kottayam and Manjeri, training the undergraduate and postgraduate students. He is currently working as Specialist in Internal Medicine in Badr Al Samaa, Barka, Sultanate of Oman. He has been practicing as internist in Kerala for the past 10 years. He published more than 150 health education articles in various health magazines and newspapers. He is the author of regular health awareness column “Docterodu chodikkam” in one of the leading Malayalam health magazines for the last 7 yrs. He contributed a chapter in “Sarvarogavignanakosam” a Malayalam health encyclopedia.
His area of special interest includes diabetology, haematology, rheumatology and sexual medicine.
