Dr. Zeming He is a Senior Research Fellow at Department of Materials Science and Engineering, National University of Singapore (NUS). He has worked at different institutions in China, Singapore, Germany, the Netherlands and Denmark, and his expertise is in materials development using advanced techniques for various applications. Dr. He obtained his Ph D degree in September 2001 from School of Materials Science and Engineering, Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore. He has accumulated vast experience in ceramic processing, additive manufacturing and materials for energy and environment. He has published over 70 scientific and technical papers and served as referees for 8 prestigious journals, such as Apply Physics Letters. In January 2005, Dr. He was awarded “European Commission Marie Curie Fellowship” to develop nano-structured thermoelectric materials with high figure of merit for energy conversion. In July 2017, Dr. He was invited to serve as a Journal Editorial Board Member of “Journal of Materials Science and Nanomaterials”.

• Nano and functional materials (ferroelectric and thermoelectric semiconductors, piezoelectric and dielectric insulators, ionic conductors, thermochemical hydrates and electrochemical cells)
• Additive manufacturing (3D printing) of biomaterials, water filtration membranes and aerospace components
