Clare is a leader in the mental health sector, with extensive experience in strategic program development, implementation and evaluation, workplace mental health promotion and the translation of evidence into practice. She is a registered psychologist with a MBA and a PhD in organizational leadership and workplace mental health and wellbeing.

Clare is the former Deputy CEO of beyondblue, where she was responsible for significant program areas, including workplace mental health, health system reform and advocacy, e-mental health and suicide prevention. Most recently, Clare held the position of Global Mental Health Lead for the Movember Foundation, overseeing the development of the Foundation’s Global Men’s Health Strategy.

Clare has a demonstrated ability to cut through complex issues and competing agendas, to communicate problems and solutions clearly and logically. She has a strong commitment to primary prevention and early intervention approaches and is known for the way she balances intellectual rigour with a passion for practical outcomes that make a measurable difference to the health and wellbeing of communities.
