Biography

 Dr. Udupa obtained her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Government Dental College in Bangalore, India following which she completed a one year General Dentistry residency. She worked in private practice and academia before moving to US. She joined a three year residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology from University of Texas Health Science Center, San Antonio in 2010. She received a certification in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 2012 and a Masters Degree in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 2013. Her research area has been diverse and includes both clinical and lab studies. Her area of interest involves digital imaging, interpretation of advanced oral and maxillofacial imaging like Cone Beam CT, and MRI related to dental implant treatment planning, TMJ, maxillofacial pathology etc. She has been involved in academia for the past 10 years both in India and USA.Dr. Udupa has been a proud recipient of the Colgate-IDA scholarship from Indian Dental Association and Howard Raper Scholarship award from American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology. She has held many active roles such as lecturer, clinical coordinator, Program Director, and served as Co-chair of the resident liaison committee of American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and as Chief Resident during her residency. She is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology, American Dental Association, American Dental Educators Association, Academy of General Dentistry, Radiological Society of North America and American society of Head and Neck Radiology, among other organizations
