Dr. Kelsey’s research interests involve designing and testing innovative health promotion programs for obesity prevention and disease prevention among women and children. Projects have included testing the feasibility and potential efficacy of Dance Revolution (DDR), a dance video game, for increasing physical activity in 5–8 year-old youth, evaluation of Be Active Kids, a physical activity and nutrition program for preschool children, and HOPE Works (Health, Opportunities, Partnerships, Empowerment), a project that uses a participatory, community-led approach to improve health for participating women and at the overall community level by enhancing participants’ ability to envision, act on and achieve goals that will lead to desired health and life changes. Dr. Kelsey is a member of the American Dietetic Association. Dr. Kelsey, working as Professor in the Department of Nutrition, University of North Carolina,USA. Dr. is author of over 20 papers in Nutrition. Dr. published more than 10 abstracts.
