Biography

Sara's research interests include palliative care education applicable to the needs of the older person, nurses and carers. Sara completed her PhD (Western Sydney University) in 2018 and developed an instrument to evaluate the palliative care knowledge, skills and attitudes of nursing assistants in residential aged care facilities. In August 2017, Sara joined the School of Nursing, College of Health and Medicine at the University of Tasmania's Sydney campus as a lecturer in nursing. Prior to this appointment, Sara worked as a palliative care nursing clinician across community, hospital and specialist settings in metropolitan Sydney.
