Biography

Dr. Steve Karas is a professor, researcher, and clinician at Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA. He obtained his Master's degree in Physical Therapy from Chatham University and Doctorate from Andrews University. He holds a certification in manual physical therapy from The North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy and an orthopedic specialist designation form APTA. He teaches Spine, manual therapy, and facilitates PBL in the musculoskeletal portion of the curriculum. His current research includes investigation on the clinical use of specificity of technique, knowledge translation of spinal manual therapy, relationship of thoracic spine to other areas of the body.
