Biography

Ma Nyuk Ling has taken Ph D from IMPERIAL COLLEGE LONDON, United Kingdom under Cell & Molecular biology. She is expert in teaching Principle of Biology, Plant Biotechnology, Evolution and biodiversity and Genetic. She is a research member of Plant biotechnology group. She also served as co-researcher, project leader for many research programmes. Involved in research on the stress signaling program in plant cells by using NMR metabolomics and proteomics analysis.’Omic’ data that obtained in this study are analyzed by using multivariate chemometric method, which is the cutting edge techniques in recent bioinformatic research. Ling also involved in giving international seminars, and publishing the articles. Ma Nyuk Ling current projects are 1)Mapping of stress responsive networks in rice plants. 2) Metabolic engineering of lipids metabolism. 3) Screening and breeding of salinity stress tolerance variety. 4) Lipodomic as one of the stress mechanism.

Identification and elucidation of the stress biomarkers in plants, Drought Tolerance, Cross-tolerance mechanism.
Microalgae as source of biofuel production.
