Wanderson Souza
Biography
Wanderson Souza, PhD, focuses his research in the areas of trauma, violence, mental health, epidemiology, psychological assessment and Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Dr Souza has been working on the impact of violence and other potentially traumatic experiences to the development of mental disorders. Dr Souza has completed a research with the Brazilian army to address the psychological impact of peacekeeping operations. Currently, Dr Souza is studying the impact of peritraumatic symptoms such as dissociation and tonic immobility to the development of PTSD.
