She received her PhD from University of Missouri Columbia in 1991 She worked as Assistant Professor in Biology department Illinois College from 1990 to 1997 then she worked as Associate Professor Biology Illinois College from 1997 to present She is currently working as Professor in Environmental Biology and Ecological Studies from 2004She also worked as Coordinator in Environmental Studies Program Illinois College 2000present and as Visiting Professor in Environmental Council University of Illinois form 2000 to 2002
