Dr. Dhar was Adjunct Associate Professor at San Diego State University Biology Department. He has studied viral diseases of shrimp for the past eight years, with a focus on characterizing shrimp viruses and immune genes in shrimp that are involved in viral pathogenesis. Dr. Dhar has published over 25 papers in peer review journals such as Virology, Journal of Virology, Journal of General Virology, Archives of Virology, Genome, Molecular Ecology, and Journal of Clinical Microbiology. He has also presented his work at many national and international professional conferences. Dr. Dhar received his Ph.D. in Plant Virology from Indian Agricultural Research Institute in New Delhi, India and did his postdoctoral work at Agriculture & Agri-Food Canada, New Bruswick, Canada and at Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, North Grafton, Massachusetts.
