Luca Morandi is a Senior Research Scientist at the Department of of Biomedical and Neuromotor Sciences, University of Bologna. He received his doctorate in Oncology and his specialty in Applied Genetics from Bologna University. His recent publications about breast cancer include: Foschini et al. Research Interest

Dr. Luca Morandi research interests are focused on gliomas, breast and oral cancer genetics and epigenetics, clonality analysis, cancer evolution. He is currently completing a project about phylogenetic analysis of ductal carcinomas around margins and enlargements; he is working on DNA methylation by bisulfite Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) in invasive lobular carcinomas of the breast, oral squamous cell carcinomas and gliomas. His technical and computer skills include NGS analysis (454, IonTorrent, MiSEQ platforms), BS-SEQ, data analysis by Perl.
