Biography

Dr. Purushottam A. Giri is currently working as Professor in Dept. of Community Medicine at Indian Institute of Medical Science & Research Medical College, Badnapur, Jalna, Maharashtra, India. Dr. Purushottam A. Giri has completed his M.B.B.S. from MIMSR Medical College, Latur and M.D. in Community Medicine from T. N. Medical College, Mumbai. He has also completed Advanced Epidemiology Training Course at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Institute, Mumbai, India. He is elected executive committee member of Indian Public Health Association (IPHA) and Indian Association of Preventive and Social Medicine (IAPSM) of Maharashtra State Chapter for the calendar year 2015-17. He has more than 112 articles to his credit published in various indexed International & National journals. He is also a peer reviewer for more than 15 journals. He is approved speaker/faculty – accredited resource person of Maharashtra Medical Council (MMC), Mumbai. He has been invited as Guest Speaker / Faculty for Conferences, CMEs, and Workshops. He was part of organizing committees of various CMEs, Workshops, and Trainings. His career interests to become an exemplary researcher, epidemiologist and health manager in bid to play his role for the advancement of health of poor and needy.
