Biography

Dr. Isaac G. Onyango is a Senior Scientist at Gencia. His work utilizes molecular and biochemical analysis of signaling pathways after genetic, pharmacological, and/or physiological manipulation to interrogate their effects on cellular bioenergetics. Prior to joining Gencia he held faculty positions at the University of Virginia Department of Neuroscience and Neurology and the University of Kansas Department of Neurology and Molecular and Integrative Physiology. Isaac received his Ph.D. from Uppsala University.

Research Interest

Dr. Isaac G Onyango's research includes growth factors, cell death mechanisms and modulation of mitochondrial function in metabolic diseases.
