Reader in Medical Law and Ethics, Lancashire Law School
Biography
Dr Choong joined Lancashire Law School in academic year 2007/2008, having previously held academic appointments at the Universities of Durham, Leeds Metropolitan and Reading. She is a qualified Barrister and an Accredited Civil and Commercial Mediator. She is a member of UCLan’s Research Ethics Committee for Business, Arts, Humanities and Social Science; and sits on the University Review Panel.
Research Interest
Medical Law and Ethics; Professional Liability; Mediation; Ethico-Legal Issues Surrounding Complementary and Alternative Medicine; Religiously and Culturally-Sensitive End of Life Care; Comparative Law, and Legal Pluralism.
