Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (1993) Second Class Upper Division University of Peradeniya Sri Lanka. Awarded the MASHAV Scholarship by Israel’s Agency for International Development Cooperation, Ministry of Foreign Affairs. International Postgraduate Programme on Aquaculture: Production & Management in the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, State of Israel. (December 2010 - January 2011) Awarded Scholarship by NFP to follow diploma course on Fisheries Management in the Wageningen University, The Netherlands. (October - November 2006) Awarded the Postgraduate Technological Study (PTS) Scholarship by the European Commission- EU Studied in the Aquaculture and Fisheries Research Institutes in Spain (CSIC, Torre La Sal, Castellon) and France (IFREMER, Palavas). (January – April 2000)
