Dr.M-Ali H Al-Akhras

Professor,Faculty of Science and Arts

Biography

M-Ali AL-Akhras is a professor of Biomedical Physics in the Faculty of Science and Arts at Jordan University of Science & Technology (JUST). AL-Akhras received his Ph.D. in 1995 from Illinois Institute of Technology. He worked from 1996 – 2003 as an Assistant Professor at JUST and as an Associate Professor from 2003 - 2007 at the University of UAE. He also worked as an Associate Professor from 2007 – 2008 at JUST and Full professor from 2008 until present. Al-Akhras served as an Assistant Dean, Chairman of Physics Department, and a Vice Dean. He has received more than 15 research grants. He attended more than 40 conferences and workshops and published more than 25 research articles. He is on the editorial boards of 5 peer reviewed journals and has reviewed many articles in more than 13 journals in the fields of photohemolysis, photobiology, radiation biology, and molecular mechanisms in photomedicine.
