Biography
Dr. Weston joined the faculty of the Belmont University College of Pharmacy in 2013. His current responsibilities include providing oversight of the College’s assessment program, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards regarding academic affairs, assisting the Curriculum Committee with curricular refinement, oversight of faculty development for the College, and teaching within the Pharmacy curriculum. Dr. Weston attended the University of Mississippi where he received a B.S. degree in Pharmacy in 1990. In 1995, he received a Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Mississippi in Pharmaceutical/Medicinal Chemistry and then completed a three-year postdoctoral fellowship at the Northwestern University Medical School in the Department of Molecular Pharmacology and Biological Chemistry. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP), the American Chemical Society (ACS) and the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS).
