Biography
Gopal Samy has completed his M.Tech-Biotechnology at Sathyabama University, Chennai, M.Phil-Bioinformatics at PRIST University, Thanjavur and Ph.D in Biotechnology at Anna University, Chennai. He has worked as Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology and an active member of the R & D Cell at St. Michael College of Engineering & Technology, Kalayarkoil for 7 years guiding more than 10 PG students and around 35 UG students. He is presently working as Scientist-Biotechnology & Chief Scientific Officer of Liatris Biosciences LLP, Cochin, Kerala. He has published more than 6 papers in reputed international and national journals. He is also the member of International Society for Infectious Diseases and International Society for Environmental Information Sciences. He has also visited IBMBB, Colombo for an International Conference.
Research Interest
Gopal Samy has a broad research interest as most of his researches are associated with enzyme engineering and its applications in environment welfare. His work in Bioinformatics towards pharmaceutical application is also renowned. Being a bioprocess engineer, a touch of molecular biology always lie behind all his works
