Mekuria Argaw

Associate Professor Center for Environmental Science, College of Natural Science, Addis Ababa University, Ethiopia    

Biography

 He was awarded PhD in Ecology and Natural Resources Management from University of Bonn, Germany  in the year 2005.  He holds a Master Degree (MSc) in Natural Forest Management from Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences, Umea, Sweden in the year 1998 and a Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Forestry Science from Haramaya University , Ethiopia in the year 1993.  He has extended his valuable service as an Associate Professor in Addis Ababa University since 2006  and has been a recipient of DAAD  Research fellow Award (2008), Center for Development Research , Bonn and NARF (National Agricultural Research Fund) Award (2009)  and is  currently  working as an Associate Professor  in Addis Ababa University. His international experience includes various programs, contributions and participation in different countries for diverse fields of study.  His research interests as an Associate Professor reflect in his wide range of publications in various national and international journals.  He is the Editorial Board Member of Reviewer: African Journal of Ecology, SINET, Elsevier and many others and serves as a member of various associations as a member of the International Advisory Board for Science Education and GLOBE International, Boulder, Colorado, USA, since 2010 apart from being an author for many articles.
