Biography

Ayodele Samuel Jegede is a Professor and Head of the Department of Sociology, Faculty of the Social Sciences, University of Ibadan. He teaches medical Anthropology and Sociology including Bioethics at the Centre for West African Bioethics Training Programme, University of Ibadan. He holds a BSc and M.Sc. degrees in anthropology and sociology from the Obafemi Awolowo, University, Ile-Ife, PhD degree in medical sociology from the University of Ibadan and MHSc in Medical Science (Bioethics) from the University of Toronto in Canada.
