She is currently working as a Professor of Psychiatry,Okasha Institute of Psychiatry,Faculty of Medicine, Ain Shams University2007. She is the Director of the addiction and dual diagnosis unit . She is having research interests in biological psychiatry and psychoneurophysiology using advanced functional imaging techniques. She is currently working on transcranial magnetic stimulation therapeutic modalities in different psychiatric disorders. World psychiatric association zonal representative for Northern Africa 2015- now. Presenting and publishing on international level transcultural and religious aspects of psychiatric disorders in arab islamic culture.
