Biography

Medical Doctor, specialist in infectious diseases, global health and migration. Physical Doctor in immunological and antibiotic therapy.
He has worked in India, Palestine and Mali. Medical Director at the Department of Public Health and Infectious Diseases (University of Rome "Sapienza", Italy) where he works at the Reference Center for High-Prevalence Diseases. Member of the Working Group on Global Health of the Italian Institute of Health.Author of many scientific papers on infectious diseases, HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases. He collaborate since 2008 with the Emergency Department of the Italian Red Cross in the management of diseases with high infectivity in migrant populations.
