Biography

Dr. Ioan Stelian Bocsan born 10 July 1948 in Oradea, Romania. he is a graduate of Cluj University of Medicine and Pharmacy, 1973. He works as Professor of Epidemiology and Primary Health Care at same university. National expert at EC, DG RD&I. Member of many IABs, scientific organisations, charities. His responsibilites are Public health policy and management decisions in main epidemiological problems at national level: National Immunisation Program, nosocomial infections, control program in natural disaster conditions (e.g. floods) or in infectious diseases large outbreaks (e.g. measles epidemics of 2000s). Under my coordination, two new vaccines have been implemented in the National Immunisation Program: MMR in 2004 and IPV (personal initiative starting 2006) in 2008.
