Biography

Mark Adams is an internationally renowned and respected authority in healthcare management with 30 years of experience in the UK, USA and throughout the GCC region. Mark led the UK’s leading Dental business, Denplan as well as its parent company AXA PPP Healthcare. He led PPP through its merger with Guardian Royal Exchange and then the AXA Group, taking the business to new heights as well as establishing the AXA groups outsourcing operation in Bangalore, India. Mark later served as CEO of Netcare UK as it built a public private partnership with UK government in the part privatization of the NHS, driving reform and innovation into the NHS. More recently, Mark has advised the Virgin Group on market entry health strategies in the UK and Ithmar Capital on healthcare integration strategies in the UAE. In 2008, Mark moved to the Middle East and after consulting at Ithmar Capital, became CEO of Gulf Healthcare International. During this period he grew and re-branded the entire groups corporate, laboratory and clinic brands as well as launching Dubai’s primary Occupational Health facility. At the beginning of 2012 Mark founded Anglo Arabian Healthcare and quickly went on to forge a successful corporate partnership with WAHA Capital, Abu Dhabi. With a dynamic and ambitious strategy for expansion across the GCC, Mark aims to lead Anglo Arabian Healthcare to become the healthcare provider of choice for patients throughout the GCC. Mark is actively involved with charities and is a past non-executive director of Common Purpose, the National Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Children (NSPCC) the British Quality Foundation and a leading Epilepsy Hospital ‘the David Lewis Foundation’. In his role as Chairman of the private equity backed ‘Complete Case Management, he led the sale of the company to Claimar PLC for $40M in 2007.
