Biography

Siyambonga Heleba is a lecturer in the Faculty of law, University of Johannesburg since September 2009. He is a recipient of a Nuffic Fellowship, Holland (Aug 2005 – Aug 2006), MFA Fellowship, Finland (2008), and holds a LL.B degree from the University of the Western Cape (2003), a LL.M degree in International and European Protection of Human Rights from Utrecht University, Holland (2006), an Advanced Certificate on Justiciability of Economic, Social and Cultural Rights from the Abo Akademy Institute of Human Rights, Finland (2008) and a post graduate Diploma in Corporate Law from the University of Johannesburg (2011). He previously worked as a researcher in the Socio-Economic Rights Project of the Community Law Centre, University of the Western Cape during the period 2007 – 2009. He continues to do research in constitutional law generally.
