Dr. Stanton is vice dean of Research for the School of Medicine.Dr. Stanton graduated from Wellesley College in Massachusetts and Yale University School of Medicine. She performed her pediatric residency training at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital (Case Western Reserve) in Ohio and completed an infectious disease fellowship at Yale University. She served as medical director of the Hill Health Center, New Haven, Conn., for a few years. Then, for five years she and her family went to Dhaka, Bangladesh, where she served as director of the Urban Volunteer Program, directed toward the health of Bangladeshis living in the slums of Dhaka, and as the World Bank Maternal Child Health specialist for Bangladesh.
